Alright, I'm hoping someone can help me with a project I'm working on in my spare time.

The purpose is to stream media over the network (not internet), through a webpage. I want people to be able to click the links and have the video stream to their PC, as opposed to them downloading the entire file to keep or delete. What do I need?

I can encode my media in any way needed, but just encoding media to be streamable isn't the end of it, right? Basically, I need an overview and guide of sorts to get this going in the best possible way.
