Streaming Box or DVR that aggregates shows?

Maybe this is how all streaming boxes work... roku, apple tv, etc, but as far as I know to find shows you have to go into each individual location to find a show to watch. For example, even though Hulu or Netflix may both be streaming The Office you would have to go into the Hulu area and find that show before you can watch it?

Is there a device where you can tell it I have Hulu, Netflix, Amazon, etc subscriptions and then if I go to find a Comedy movie it will display movies/shows from all of the subscriptions I own? Or if I'm doing a search for Transformers, it will show it's available in Netflix and Amazon, etc?

I 'think' TIVO may do this, but curious if other cheaper options are available and also ones that have a nice interface.

TiVO kind of does this. TiVO DOES have a search where you can set it up to find that show, and link to the service though. It won't download anything, just show a link, and you have to run the search for it each time.

Your second paragraph is pretty close to what it does. Last I checked TiVO didn't do the free amazon prime streaming, just the clips and rentals. Netflix support is pisspoor too but it does work. I used to be such a bit TiVO fanboi too.

I don't think anything does exactly what you want it to do. I think things come close, but just not quite there.

For instance, the Boxee Box can give you a list of shows, or shows you've flagged as favorites, and can aggregate from various online sources, but not Hulu or Netflix. only VuDu and the actual channels websites.

I think Google TV might give you close to what you're looking for, but I'm not sure if there's been a Hulu app yet or if the search functions searches Hulu or Netflix. This would require manual searches of what you're looking for each time, however, not keep a list of your favorite shows you could browse like Boxee.
