Streaming Audio setup?

I've recently networked to computers, an NIC in each joined by UTP cabling. Both have their own set of speakers and winamp is installed. A friend suggested to try streaming audio feeed, so I can utilise both speakers. How would I set this up? And can I do it in Linux?
