Hello I'm wondering if there is a way to stream video via webcam or tv caputure card at home via a webpage preferably that would be viewable on a PC that is behind a microsoft proxy server at my college with only port 80 opened. Curently I have tried using webcamXP and that doesnt seem to work with the proxy in the mix as only the page will load and not the video itself which is usualy in a java applet or flash which comes from a different port like 8080 for example. WebcamXP wont allow you to chose both the web server port and stream port to be the same if i were to try to put them both on 80. The stream does work as long as I'm viewing it from a computer that is not behind a proxy. Proxys are Damn evil things!
So I guess what I'm looking for is some app that will sream out via port 80 from my home computer and router. The computer I would use to view the stream is windows so mayby it would be posible to stream using windows media server or similar and view the stream in windows media player on the client taking into consideration that you can set a proxy for the net conection in it?
