Stream audio from desktop to the web?

Hi all,

I'm trying to broadcast audio (radio station) from my PC desktop to the web so I can listen to it on my iPhone from outside the network.

Is there anything that does this?

I'm trying VLC media player, but the source seems to have to be a file. I've looked a few others, but same issue.

Any ideas?
