Hey everybody that's up at this hour in OT,

I just had to get this off my chest: After not eating sugar/dessert items for the last 2.5 years, I finally got back on (or is it off?) the wagon tonight by eating a brownie with my best friend and his wife. Let me just say that was the best brownie I have had in my entire life... hehe. It feels good to be back.

hahaha... I knew I should have chosen my words more carefully. No, I ate real (not sexual) brownies with my best friend and his wife.

Those 60oz ghiradelli mix boxes at Target were too tempting to pass up. Added some fresh pecans & walnuts for a nice bite. :)

Nice! We just had plain ol' Albertsons mix brownies, but that was honestly the best brownie I have ever tasted. Last one I had was June of 2004 at Serendipity in New York.

The best part about all this is that nobody in my family knows that I'm back on the wagon, so I'm going to totally freak them out on Christmas day when I grab a piece of pie and go to town on it... hehe.

Any particular reason you didn't eat sugar/sweets for a while?

Well, it's a long story, but here's the short(er) version: I used to be really overweight (270ish) and got really sick Christmas of 2003. I started eating healthier and lost 100ish pounds (170 now) and for whatever reason I just swore off sugar, for the most part. 2.5 years later I decided that I have set enough healthy habits (I now exercise 6 days a week and eat healthy) for me to be able to go back to it, and I also figure that it will be mighty hard to find a girlfriend/wife if I don't eat any sugar... hehe.
