Strangest thing with ram timing and Vista.

Hey guys,

My rig is as follows:

TWINX Dominator C5D PC8500 Corsair 2 Gig kit
Asus Striker
Quad Core Xeon X3220
2 8800 GTX's in SLI
X-Fi Fatal1ty
Hitachi 1 TB HD
Running Vista X86 with the latest updates.

Weird problem:

My ram timings affect my graphics drivers in Vista. When I'm running at DDR 800 my Drivers in Vista won't time out. For example I ran the Vista evaluation to rate my PC with ddr 1066 and it would lock up my video drivers and sometimes BSOD me, but when I'm running it at DDR800 it runs it at flying colors, obviously with my lowest subscore being my ram.

What do I do? When I was in XP earlier before this format It'd freeze on site of attempt to render 3d textures (would stop responding)

I need to know what I can do at the moment to fix this because I want to be running 1:1 with my CPu, and I also want to have good gaming.

Thanks.

Reading your post it seems you had similar problems in XP and Vista, but I'm not sure. Could it just be bad RAM? Have you tried these timings with different sticks, or different combinations of your existing sticks?

The thing is I've replaced both my ram and my video cards, my dominators check out in Memtest. I'm thinking the striker has an issue with 2.2 voltage and 1066 fsb imo...

I don't know though because I also have an enermax galaxy dxx 850w and maybe it's because this is the most expensive pos I've ever bought.

I've gotten my striker board replaced twice and my power supply replaced twice as well..

ANyone got more suggestions? Thanks for any effoerts thus far.
