ok here it goes, while trying to check email with outlook express, everything goes fine.
try to send it the progress get to the end and hangs. well hell. i figured ox freaked.
tried to send via a web based mail server it _also_ hangs. wtf. it should have nothing
to do with my pc at this point because all the transactions happen on the server itself.

enter pc 2. same exact thing. recently popped a kt7 w/ duron in that box , and did a fresh
install of win me. so that nixes the client prob.
btw my inet connection is telocity dsl. called them- the tools keep telling me its my client.
called a buddy who also has telocity and he is having the same problem. so it has to be
them right?

heres where it gets odd. a third pc, an old p200 running 98, *can* send anything
anyway it chooses. that makes no sense. i decided to try outlook instead of outlook express
on the win me pc, and it work. big wtf.

tried to connect to other telocity user for a game of rogue spear, cant connect.

my only guess would be that joe shmoe telocity network guy thought he teach himself firewalling
or packet filtering on the fly, and is blocking some form of inbound traffic.

anyone know offhand if outlook tag mail differently that outlook express?

on the same note various other things are acting odd, like online banking, and gaming.

i'd have to say this is very strange indeed...

ARGHH! to post this i actually needed to pc anywhere into my work machine and post from the - posting on a bbs actually hangs just like mail...

Perhaps you might consider a different email prog? Outlook Express is a security nightmare. Even MS discovered this quite recently, as the code for the "entire shop" may have been spirited off, through OE, funnily enough.
