I watched it and mostly wasnt impressed. When it got to the ending however, it pulled it all together. I quite enjoyed the movie and I think that I will prolly go pick it up at the store.

Hate to spoil the movie but...

Will Ferrell never runs around in his underwear in this movie. I was wanting more obnoxiousness, where this movie instead is fairly serious acting - around a very obnoxious premise. Good... but not Anchorman or Talladega Nights good.

People focused their attention on the fact that this was Ferrel's first dramatic role and how he did at this. What a lot of people failed to realize was that the movie itself was very good.

yeah... i was reading reviews of the new adam sandler movie and that's all that most of the reviews talked about was whether or not adam sandler can pull of doing a dramatic role. i don't know if i've seen the word "dubious" used quite so uniformly before.

I was surprised at how it turned out. I suspected it'd be a comedy just from the fact that Ferril was in it (as it was his first large dramatic role). He did a pretty good job at being the stoic IRS agent and being a bit of an introvert... definitely not how you usually see him.

not to split hairs, but he played a dramatic role in Winter Passing in 2005, but it didn't have a very wide release. though if you meant his first lead role in a dramatic film then that'd be correct as far as i know.

i enjoyed the film, even with the absurd story.
