Stranger Parked a "For Sale" Car in front of my house

Senior member
I was coming back home and noticed that a car was parked right beside my driveway.
It doesn't interfere with my driveway but it was unpleasant to see a for sale car beside my driveway.

I would have normally called the police if the car was parked in my private property.
However, this car is technically parked on the county's property. (right before where my property starts)

To give you an idea of how it's parked, I'll draw an ascii art.

++++++++++++++++ <----- Road
================
++++++++++++++++ <------ Road
****.....()

There's the two way road.
**** is where the car is parked and () is my driveway.

Is parking the car like this legal?
What can I do to get rid of it? Or should I just live with it?

It's a 89 Ford so I think it may be parked there for a long while.

call the a tow truck.

say your car needs to be taken to some mechanic and make sure they have an exact description of the car. Then make sure you're not home when they come by.

The towing company will take the car cause they want to get paid, and you don't have to deal with the bills since the car isn't registered to you.

edit: make sure the car isn't your neighbor's or someone's friend who is just visiting.

Write "3 miles per gallon" in marker on one of the windows in the middle of the night.

It will be moved.

It's unpleasant to see because it's parked right near where I planted my trees.
It's also the spot where I put out my trash can.
And it's parked very close to the road.

Anything else unpleasant in your life? It's a neighbor's car for sake....

Now if it's there for a month of so, then you should make a new sign up for it with the number to the local strip club or VFW hall.

That is an old narco squad tactic used to plant a surveillance camera.

What'cha been planting besides trees???

It's not a neighbor's car.
I called every neighbor and they said it's not theirs.
Also, all the neighbor's have their own land to park a car if they wish to sell it.

OOOHHHH, I've got a good one! Call a locksmith, and tell them you got locked out of the car. Then, put a sign on it that says: FREE!! Someone should take it!! 😀

You don't own the road and if its not illegal parked then its alright.

Its not blocking your drive...........

sell it yourself and youre selling it b/c you got locked out. So if they buy it right now you'll pay for the locksmith and tow

that's actually fairly original, but come on guys, have some compassion for the other guy here, he just wants to sell his car......sure he picked a bad place, if you see him ask him to move it or leave a note.....be civil about it

Especially if it's an H2, since that would be twice the usual.
