Strange XP display issue

Every once in a while, after I boot to XP, I will bring up the start menu and choose something off the menu. When the menu disappears, there is a line 3 inches in from the left side of my monitor, corresponding to the left side of the start menu.

This does not occur every time, it seems to only happen if I click on the start menu before Zone Alarm pro loads. This does not happen with my win98 drive, and it DID happen with two different video cards.

Anyone else hear about this kind of problem?

I get this problem every once in a while. I think it's the ATI video drivers. I never got that problem when I had a Matrox G400 card. Are both the video cards you tried from the same manufacturer?

Same thing happens with my XP pro
Never linked it Zone Alarm Pro...I think your right
It clears when I refresh the desktop
