strange with 4870x2...

sup all... i got a new 4870x2 and a new psu and i notice that one of my card two cores get hot and have activity but the second one is cooler and no activity at all... I have catalyst 9.1 and AI in advance....

any idea of what is going on and how to fix this, or this is the way to be... half the card down...
 
I have to use NVCP to select AFR modes 1 & 2 to heat up both gpus in my 8800GS sli setup. You may have to do something similar via your Catalyst driver.
 
hm... maybe ATI Tray Tools... and 8.12 hotfix...
a lot of people is complaining about 9.1, apparently the 9.1 screw up some stuff like performance and remove some already fixes implemented in 8.12 hotfix...
 
ok.. it doesnt matter i got the new ones... to work... BUT!!!!

why in the hell one of my gpu cores is off!!!!! I mean i launch a game and so on and even with catalyst AI one of them is not working... rivatuner doesnt show activity in gpu1... gpu0 is doing all the rendering.. lol.!!!!! and GPU-Z show sideport OFF... any idea of how to correct this problem???
