Strange windows issue. Windows security box opening with just DEL or '.' from num

I have a user that's connecting from home.

They're connecting to their office computer via vpn/remote desktop. Once they're connecting they're having off and on problems where the windows security screen will come up.

Instead of coming up with CTRL+ALT+DEL, it's coming up every time the DEL key is pressed or when the ' . ' from the num pad is pressed.

Can anybody give me an idea of how to fix this. I have no idea at all.

I thought it was user error until I rdp'd into the computer and it did the same thing w\ me.

no virus' found w\ vipre or hitman pro.
