I'm running windows 2000 with this system. I am having some strange video problems that I've never heard of. When playing any kind of video (asf, avi, mpeg, etc...) it eventually locks up my computer. Sometimes it takes 10 minutes or so, sometimes just 20 seconds. These aren't blue screens, but the video just freezes, and i have to hit the reset button (ctrl-alt-del does nothing). I haven't got any lockups when playing games (UT, Q3, Undying, Alice) but the performance in these games are disappointing. The video in UT will stop for about 10 seconds at a time (the game continues, but i can't move, and the video just pauses, and I get pelted with rockets). Also, i am dropping frames when playing DiVX like it's nobody's business. I tried going to WMP7, and installing the latest codecs i could find, and this didn't help AT ALL.

Any suggestions at all would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, I've tried the 6.31 and 6.50 nvidia drivers, and those didn't help at all.

Thanks in advance.
