Strange video problem with AN35N mobo

Not sure if this problem is with mobo or if something else is going on.
Running Windows XP Pro, but now can only see start up screen with rolling blue blocks, then goes to blank black screen and never recovers. Original had problem where it would not recognize video card, a GeForce 3 Ti 200. My son tried to load detonator drivers but could not get them to work since it wasn't recognizing video card. Installed PCI video card, but never hooked cable monitor cable to card. Retried with GeForce 3 Ti 200, and this is when problem occurred. Tried safe mode, VGA mode still same problem. Removed card and installed GeForce 2 Ti 450, still same problem. Haven't tried installing PCI video card yet and if it boots, removing drivers . I guess this may be next step. Any other suggestions?

Have had problems with this mobo previously. Trying to find out if anyone has had a similar problem.

I have a GF3 Ti 500 that sometimes does not run properly under similar circumstances. Can you boot into safe mode? If so, try uninstalling your video drivers, let it reboot and setup the video on it's own.

Can't reboot, even in safe mode. Screen goes blank. Also tried safe mode, vga mode and still no workie.

Just tried using the PCI video card. Still same problem. I think it's either the OS is screwed up, or it's the mobo.
