At least this is where this belongs anyway. So i'm having a strange issue and i can only assume its because of my video card. I'm currently running a 6870 at stock settings. Rest of my system is a i7 920 @ 4GHz 6 gigs of ram.... I run a dual monitor setup and this is what is happening
I like to play games on 1 monitor and watch vids on th 2nd one (cartoons, shows, porn... This has worked fine for years with games in windowed mode specifically WoW. I like to play wow and watch shit at the same time nothing strange. This happens to work fine for any video i have on my computer using VLC. video plays fine and wow is unaffected as far as i can tell runs +100 FPS pretty much everywhere
the issue arises when i load up anything on youtube or any flash based video site. even just their main page. playing NO videos. wow takes a massive performance hit. FPS drops to around 60 and is really choppy even at 60 FPS vids also play somewhat choppy. I cant figure out why it does this. flash vids played from my computer don't cause this its only online ones, and they simply have to be open and not playing
this DID NOT use to happen when i was using a GTX 285, never saw the issue then.
latest drivers for the card comp is all updated and all that, happens in FF and Opera, i normally use Opera
odly does not happen in IE
any ideas
