Strange video affects!

My geforce has some strange problems in certain games. The problem occurs in any realy graphical game except quake3 and unreal. It is almost like a tearing affect with lines cutting through the image. It also occured on quake3 but i turned something off and it went a way but i do not have the option in a lot of games. The other games this has occured in Star trek armada, final fantasy 8, battle isle demo, and a lot of others. I have a geforce tweaker but i have no idea on what to tweak.
