I bought this video card a year or two ago.
Lately, more and more frequently, I'll be using the computer and I'll see lines and distortions appearing on my monitor, followed by a complete loss of the video signal.
(The "no signal" message on the monitor appears crisp and clear, so it's not a monitor problem.)
Upon rebooting, everything works fine... for a while.
But now, when I reboot, I get a BSOD with a MACHINE_CHECK_ERROR... and I can't get past the windows loading screen at all.
I should note that I've been a bad boy with this video card... I never really properly secured it with a screw (case/motherboard issues), so it sits rather loosely. Sometimes, it comes loose. Maybe I somehow damaged the card.
But this behaviour didn't start after an episode of disloging the video card... it just started randomly.
System specs:
Athlon 3200+
1 GB RAM
GeForce 6600
Windows Vista
(p.s. these issues also did not coincide with my installation of Vista... everything was working fine with Vista.)
