Strange streaming problem in XP

I use WMP and Real One to watch streaming videos in my computer, and for some days now I have been experiencing some trouble. WMP will play only the audio, and show a gray screen. Real One plays the audio just fine, but the video is totally lagged, I'll get only a few frames per minute. I tried reinstalling Real One, then tried reinstalling Windows XP over (w/ the CD reinstall feature) and nothing seems to solve the problem. My connection seems to be fine, I'm downloading files at full speed.

Anyone knows what's this? How can I fix it?

OK, I reinstalled Real One and it works fine now. WMP still has the same problem. BTW, I don't know if this is related or not, Media Guide and Radio Tuner won't work, saying that I'm not connected to the internet...

Check your WMP settings in Tools/Options/Network. Make sure it is correctly configured for your system. Also check the Formats tab menu to make sure it is selected to play what you want.

OK, after some heavy usenet searching I found out how to solve the problem - at least partialy. My video settings were all zero'ed, I had to make them go back to default and everything's good now. Only the Media Guide & Radio Tuner still won't work...
