Hello
I have recently began to experience a strange sound problem.
I am running WinXP with SP3 and the board is an MS7357. I have an ATI Radeon HD 4000 series graphics card.
In In Device Manager/Sound, Video and game controllers I have listed:
ATI Function Driver for High Definition Audio ATI AA01
Audio codecs
Realtek High Definition Audio
Legacy Audio Drivers
The problem is that the ATI AA01 device is shown in the PLAYBACK section of Realtek sound manager and is set to ATI HD Audio Rear Output to get sound through my monitor speakers but it only works after several reboots and is hit and miss whether I get any sound at all through the monitor speakers. As I said it does work sporadically but I wondered if anyone could help me to get sound every time when I boot up without continually having to reboot to get sound.
Many thanks

From your Owners manual:
Chip integrated by Realtek® ALC888

Try downloading and installing the latest driver from Realtek or the motheroard manufacturer's site.
The driver may be part of the Intel chipset package. That you'll have to get that from Intel.

Thanks for your assistance. I have been on the Realtek site and downloaded and installed the latest HD Audio drivers but still no luck with any sound. I have also been on the Intel site and run the update driver wizard but get:

I must admit I haven't a clue what to download driver wise using the manual downloads on the Intel site but it says on the front of my MSI User Guide - G33M. I wouldn't like to download something that is not for my system and could screw it up totally. I haven't updated any Intel drivers since my system was built because it never crossed my mind to be honest.
Many thanks
