I am trying to resolve an issue in a small law office. When I log onto a computer, an installation window pops up saying 'Please wait while Windows configures Lexis Front Office - Time Matters 9.0 Professional' When the progress bar gets nearly to the end, another window pops up and says 'the feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.' then there is a drop down box to select an alternate source, but i can't browse to find the installer, i can only pick one of the four options, all of which are pointing to some really long random name inside a temp folder on the c: drive.

If I cancel the installation it starts again after a moment. If I go into appwiz.cpl and find time matters 9 (it seems to think its already installed?) there is no remove button! i can only click 'more info' which brings up an option to 'repair' but that only brings up the same crappy installation which eventually says the network resource is unavailable...

there is no entry in the start menu, i browsed the c drive and found c:\tmw9 which seems to be the installation directory, but i can't find an uninstaller in there...

how the heck can i uninstall this program so i can try to install from scratch?? and any ideas why it is running some installation from startup?

THANKS!

Are you a local admin on the pc? If not, windows won't allow you to uninstall anything.

Use the Microsoft Windows Installer Cleanup Utility ... that will get rid of whatever is calling that installer.
Provided, the installer is being run on the local pc and not on the server.
