Hey,

Just got a 2nd MSI 6600GT and installed it, SLI. Now getting some strange artifacts on my windows desktop, and even worse artifacts in games.

http://www.xchain.org/fubar.JPG -- Although some of it is kinda blurry due to JPG compression, those vertical lines are ever-present.

I have tried a number of different nVidia drivers (77.82, 78.01, 78.03 beta) and they all act the same. Each of the 6600GTs, individually, work great in single mode -- as soon as I place them in SLI I get these strange artifacts.

'Show GPU Load Balancing' is unchecked.

Both cards are running at a decent temp (~50c), so they are not overheating as far as I can tell.

My motherboard is Gigabyte GA-K8N Ultra SLI. I read some posts on other forums about this particular board by default trying to OC the PCIx stuff, but I cannot locate any sort of settings like that in bios (including the 'secret' bios with Ctrl+F1)

Without nVidia drivers installed (raw VGA drivers), I don't get the screen artifacts. As soon as I install nVidia drivers, I get this crap. Regardless if SLI-software is enabled or not, if I have both video cards installed SLI-hardware, I get the artifacts with nVidia drivers.

Any ideas whatsoever? I've went through about everything I can think of, so any help at all is much appreciated.

Antec 420W ATX v2.0 Power Supply
AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Winchester
Gigabyte GA-K8N Ultra SLI (running the F3 BIOS revision, I couldn't even boot with the newest F4 revision)
2GB Kingston Hyper-X Dual DDR400 Ram (4 x 512mb chips)
Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS.
