Strange seti problem - Multiple seti windows running.

About an hour ago, I started seti up. I forgot that it was running and started it up again. Now I have multiple seti windows running at the same time, 3 currently at the moment, all at different stages of progress.

I don't think this is normal since it should just open up the current application that's running and not start another. It seems I can open up as many as I want and have them all running at the same time.

Is there a way I can fix this or should I let it run for a while to see what happens. I would really like to fix the problem.

Kill the two clients that are lowest in percent done. You can't run multiple clients from the same directory, because they'll stomp all over the state file, and just slow down everything! KILL THEM NOW!

Let me pile on here with a little of my experience with this situation. If you have only one installation of SetiDriver and you have a shortcut to it in your Startup Folder, it is possible to click on the SetiDriver.exe and startup a second instance. You will be processing two WUs at the same time. Nothing is really hurt by this. There were some experiments tried thinking that running more than one instance of SETI might actually result in more work being done in the long run. The results were never really definitive ... I would say that it didn't really make much difference.

Now if you find one day that you accidentally have more than one little blue satellite running in your tray, you can just right click one of them and select EXIT and all will be fine.

Now if upon a fresh boot-up you find more than one instance of SetiDriver running, then you need to check each USER's Startup Folder for you probably have multiple shortcuts.
