My friend just got a brand new 2007FPW. She will be driving it from a Toshiba Satellite M200 with an nVidia FX Go5200; the drivers are the latest Detonators.
The problem is that her laptop does not have the 1680x1050 display mode. I tried to add that resolution using nVidia's driver utility, but it refuses to let me do so. The closest default resolution is 1600x1024, which looks quite ugly.
Can anyone offer some advice on what to do here? I haven't tried new drivers b/c she says you have to jump through hoops to get her laptop to install non-Toshiba-certified drivers (the "latest" of which are like 2 years out of date).

Even when driven at 1680x1050, the text still doesn't look *that* crisp on VGA. Is this b/c VGA isn't as good as DVI or is it inherent in this monitor?
