Strange question how do you put your headphones on easily when wearing a VR Headset?

i think most VR headsets come with headphones so its fitted as you wear the unit..

well the vive and the occulus do.

True but then what is the point of a headphone jack on it?

i think its for ear buds, and not head phones.
Some people do not feel comfortable with pads over there ears, and rather use ear buds....
And if you cant put ear buds with your eyes closed, well, its probably because you drank too much beer.

I'm confused as to why putting headphones on your head requires sight. You should know where your ears are by now and if you try once and miss them, you should be able to get it right the second time just by feeling where they landed and judging where they need to be.

I have to say I haven't ever looked when putting on headphones. Not even once did I break out the mirror to make sure I put them in/on right. For VR I'd just have them around my neck until I have the HMD on, and then pull on as normal.

flexibility and cost. when the headsets first came out the BOM cost was already too high, adding low or high end speakers would add cost and most of the audio snobs would complain about whatever was used and rip them out anyways. so having the 3.5 jack meant they could use whatever $500 cans they wanted.

i heard on some podcast that one of the big 2 were using the same lifehack Koss speakers everyone is modding with.

either way future headset headstraps are looking less friendly to prosumer cans so audio snobs will likely have to figure out mods or petition manufacturers to sell the speakers in modular units that fit whatever mounting the speaker arms use.
