Strange Question about dating/making out

Ok, my friend and I are having a debate.

Would you ever ask a girl to be your girlfriend if you had never made out with her before. (ie, would you not even consider dating a girl until you made out with her?)

No, I am not in middle school. The reason I am asking is because some girl I live with is being a prude and refuses to make out with a guy before they are officially dating.

I bought a Ford Focus. I didn't even test drive it. I just went to the dealer and bought it. I'm perfectly happy with it. When I see other cars, I don't wonder what it would be like to drive it.

Different strokes for different folks, no need to debate. Personally, I do not see wanting to at least know someone a bit before "making out."
