Strange PST issue

I was helping someone with their PST file misbehaving (outlook 2010), so I decided to run scanpst to fix it.
After it fixed some errors, then I tried to open it and it suddenly started asking for a password ?!?
It didn’t open on another pc either. Not sure what to do now, any ideas?
 
Run SCANPST on the file again. I have seen several cases where the program fixes some errors on the first run, and then finds more the second time through.
 
Just tried that, and it didn't work. It found no more errors in the file.

I have a feeling this file is lost!
