Strange problem with sound card

Just installed a new system for a friend. I'm used a Biostar M7VIB KT266a Motherboard and also a Yamaha sound card. I had disabled the onboard sound and proceeded to install the drivers for the sound card. When I reboot and get into windows and lookup the devices I find that the gameport joystick has an exclamtion mark next to it. It's displays a message that their is a conflict with another device on the sound card but you can't adjust the resources because the other device is using all of them. I install and uninstall each component but still have the same problem Everything in the bios is set to auto and don't have a clue what's wrong. I've install the same system with the same sound cards before and haven't had this problem. I've even switched out the card for another one but the problem is still there. I'm having to use the onboard sound and what to use the sound card instead. Any ideas?
