Strange problem with motherboard

Hi,

My motherboard is giving me strange problems:

1. It can detect the keyboard if no HDD/FDD/CD-ROM drives are connected
2. If any of the devices are connected, the keyboard is not detected/does not respond

Tried flashing the BIOS, no luck. It's a VIA PLE133 based board from MSI with integrated video and audio.

What might be the problem?

is the keyboard USB or PS2 ?

Edit: Either way, It wouldnt hurt to try the other. I would also personally reset the bios, then try a new PS.

Hi,

Already changed the PSU, also tried with PS/2 and USB keyboards.

Same result. Seems as if mobo is unale to support HDD and Keyboard at the same time.

Did it ever work ? Or is this a new board?

Used to work fine for one year.

Seems to have developed problems after the warranty period's over.
