Strange problem with messed up colourmap when playing video

Trying to sort out someone else's PC. The problem is when playing video through media player, winamp and even vlc the colours are all messed up.

Totally lost on this. It apparently used to work but started going wrong at some point. I imagine it's down to something like a directshow filter that's been installed at some point but can't work out what's causing the problem.

My prime suspect is the adobe gamma color remapping stuff that comes with photoshop but can't work out how to disable this short of uninstalling photoshop. Any ideas on this?

For info this is windows XP (patch up) with an S3 ProSavage DDR gfx card with latest drivers.

Never mind. The problem seems to have resolved itself.

Not sure exactly what did it. Switched the display to 16-bit, worked fine, switched back to 32-bit....still fine. Maybe it's just a glitch in the S3 drivers.
