Strange problem with Hub

My DLink hub is being strange. It worked fine before i went to a LAN party last weekend. I could play games on the LAN but couldn't send or recieve files across the Network. When i got it home its the same deal. I can browse the web and play games, but i can't download files bigger than around 100KB. Web sites with big pictures take forever to load or won't load at all. I'm gonna try to upload a big FTP file now. What do you think?

Almost the same thing happened to my Dlink hub around a year ago. After trying various troubleshooting techniques, I broke down and bought a new hub. Everything has been working well ever since.

I'm not saying that you'll have to replace your hub, I'm just letting you know what I eventually had to do.

If you try to transfer a large file over the network, does the hub report any activity (i.e. collisions, blinking green lights, etc.)?

any ideas about this strange hub? Is it just junk? I've tried all the ports, but its the same deal. Why would i be able to play Q3 with a consistent 50 ping, but unable to download any large files? Whats different about the packets?
