Strange problem - Wireless related?

Lately I seem to briefly lose connection while on the internet.

I could for example type a URL in, hit enter, starts going, internet stops, says "Cannot Display Webpage", hit refresh and works perfectly for a while again. Just randomly happens, and at those times the network usage in Task Manager drops to 0%, but my internet connection actually never disconnects.

I am on wireless but it's only through one wall about 20 feet away. D-Link Extreme N.

Happens in both IE and Firefox.

Kind of annoying when the damn pr0n vids stop streaming and you have to refresh, you know?

need to list the apps runnning,all devices, etc.

could just be carpy router - or nic - does it do that wired?

does the router reboot? (ping -t routerip)?
does the default gateway of the router (the next hop) drop packets? (2nd windows ping it)
does the pr0n site drop packets (3rd window ping it?)

does your task manager network show a degrading signal? does it happen when the microwave is on? is your neighborhood full of wifi? does your cordless phone use the same band? neighbors cordless phone?

maybe you are just going blind? lay off the empornium
