Strange problem in Vista

Hi, guys, thanks for coming
I am recently switched to windows vista and just met a very strange problem.
Just came back from Acadia National Park with tons of pictures taken by a Canon Digital Rebel, I just tried to copy all the pictures back to my hard drive like I usually do in XP. However, the system did not allow me to do so. Everytime I tried, it just tell me "Invalid MS-Dos function".

Then I tried to copy some files to the CF card, everything else is fine. I just can not copy any jpeg to the card.

Has anyone have any similar experience.

Thanks a lot.

Are you using a CF Reader/Writer (USB) or a direct cable connection from camera to computer?

In the meantime, to avoid loss of your pics, suggest you off load them onto an XP machine and burn them to a CDR.

Then play around with the Vista machine. I have two of them (Vista machines), and have never run into this sort of problem. It could be the CF card itself or the means by which you are linking it to the Vista system.
