I've been having this very strange problem lately. The problem is, the system locks all the time. Heres usualy what happens. I boot up the system, everything works fine. Im just talking to people on AIM, ICQ etc, and all the sudden, it just locks. No error messages or anything. I have to do ALT-CTRL-DEL 2 times, then a blue screen error comes up, I hit enter and everything works fine again(for a while). Then, a few minutes later, the system will lock the same exact way again, but I have to press ALT-CTRL-DEL 4 times to make the system reboot. This is really annoying me. It happened when I have an ABIT VT6X4 & Celeron 2 566, and now its happening on my ABIT KT7-RAID & Duron 600. Im using a new NIC card, new Sound Card, and a new Floppy Drive. Im using all of the latest drivers for everything, including the VIA 4-in-1's. The only hardware that could be causing the problem is:
Hard Drive: 15GB IBM75GXP (7200RPM, U/ATA100)
Video Card: Some old Cirrus Logic 1MB that im using
temporarily.
CD-Rom Drive: 52x Creative Labs
CD-RW Drive: Ricoh MP6200A
Ram: 64MB Crucial PC-133 Cas 3
I never used to have this problem, so I dont know whats causing it. If anyone has experenced this, or knows how to fix it, and can help me, I would appreciate it.
