strange power management problem causes reboot

This system is running WinMe and i'd like to have the monitor turn off after 30 minutes afk. If i set it to turn off the monitor, instead the machine reboots. I can have it set to Always On or the Home/Office title, it doesn't matter. I don't set the Hard drives to spin down or sleep mode either, just the monitor.

Do you have the latest BIOS for the KT7A?

yes i do. The board is version 1.3 and the BIOS is version 65.

i don't see any fixes listed in the BIOS update page, was there a known issues of this problem or something? Do motherboard makers not always lists all the bugs addressed in a given BIOS update? I thought they did.
