Strange pop-up in blogs section?

Upon visiting the Anandtech Blogs page today, I noticed a "pop-up" which I've never seen before. It's a small border-less window hovering just to the right of the sidebar on the left of the page.

I've never noticed this before, but based on most of the links off the pop-up, it appears to be related to the March 27th entry about the Shanghai processor, which is followed by some Wikipedia content, immediately after the blog entry and before the comments.

The "b" logo on the pop-up appears to be a link to "http://qtl.co.il/aff", followed by the other, more well known web links. Also odd is that the Google search icon actually links to a "search.babylon.com" page. This makes me think this is some sort of spyware/adware engine, but my machine checks out clean.

Is this software hosted by Anandtech or should I be more concerned about my system? I'll be checking another system later to verify, but am unable to at the moment, so I thought I'd ask.

Hi

It is also on my computer with a wiki link about shanghai city and everything you mention is same for me. It was also when I visited the blog site. My computer is 99.5% virus free. I guess its an anandtech problem eh?

I think Johan was just trying to embed some info about Shanghai (the city) but I've pulled the offending code for now until this gets sorted out.

Cool thanks Ryan!

Yes - thank you!

I'll skip updating my earlier post my browser info.

I'm not as concerned now, knowing it was hosted on AT. I trust that what gets posted is safe. However, it was a little annoying, as it retains its screen position.
