strange phone call i recieved from covad...

a covad sales person just called my home. asked me if i had dsl and if i did who was my provider. i said yes and told him im with verizon. he then asked me how much i was paying a month. i told him $29 a month. he then asked me how many computers use the connection and is it for business or home use. i told him 3 pc's and it's for home use. then he asked if i was interested in residential covad dsl service at 1.5/384 for $39.99 a month. i told him why would i pay $40 a month when verizon is $30 and its 3.3/864.

he hung up after that

Reminds me of all the times AT&T or MCI would call me and offer their 'extremely cheap' international rates which were 10x of what I was paying through small line-leasing phone companies.
