strange P95 stuff going on

Why does my HDD go crazy when I run Prime95? I installed it tonight and when it runs my HDD is constantly being accessed and I also saw that system idle process was at 98% while Prime95 was only at 2%. What's going on?
 
i think you want one floor up, cpu forum 🙂

anyway, try running small fft not the blend test.
 
I stopped using the blend test and now it is back to simply heating up and P95 is using 99% of CPU. I'll just stick to those tests and not the blend. I'm just testing my OC.
