This only started occuring two days ago. I will be on the desktop, doing whatever, and all of the sudden the mouse pointer will become stuck in place. The strange thing is, when the pointer is stuck, If I move the mouse around patiently, I can actually guesstimate where the pointer 'really' is and use it to open programs. I know I am not doing a good job of explaining it, but it's difficult. Basically my monitor is showing that the mouse pointer is frozen, but it really isn't and is still moving as I move the mouse. I am confident that it is not a problem with the mouse because I tried switching to another one and the same thing happened. I also tried unplugging/replugging the mouse in multiple times, but that doesn't help. The mouse is a logitech MX510 (USB) and I am running XP Pro SP2 on an AMD 64 socket 754 system. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
