Strange OFFICE SPACE-like experience

We're moving into a brand spanking new building at work, and today I went to tour it with my colleagues.

Now, everyone has offices, and all of the offices are almost exactly the same. They're square, they have the same desks, the same doors, the same windows.

So I'm walking through here with the full-timers (I'm a co-op students so I only get a cube in the new building, not an office) and they're looking at potential offices for themselves.

I swear to you, each of these offices was IDENTICAL in the most IDENTICAL KIND OF WAY POSSIBLE except that maybe they had a wall at a slight angle or a door that swung open a different way.

So I figured "hey, we saw one, we saw them all". But no, they go into about thirty different offices and comment on each one.

"Oh, damn, that's a NIICCEE office!"
Then the next one, identical looking,
"Eww, I feel sorry for the guy who gets that one."

This went on for half an hour walking through immaculate, empty, identical offices.

I thought they were just f*cking with me... but they apparently were not... what am I missing here?!??!

Been through the same thing....a few years back we moved to a new building. A couple of the women, real hags, were going around measuring the office. Now mind you they are all identical...only turns out some were an inch or two larger than others. The hags raised hell until they got the "larger" offices.
