Strange noise from my computer...

Hi,
Just recently I noticed that there is a noise that I didn't notice before coming from my computer. I don't know if it just started or have been there all the time. The strange this is that it correlates to the activity of my my onboard lan. As the orange light on the back of the lan port lights go on and off so does the sound. It is a very high pitched whine, not really noticeable if one is not paying attention, but very annoying to me as I'm kinda sensitive to high pitched sounds. It is very hard to pinpoint exactly where it is coming from. I've tried stopping the cpu fan, case fan, and gpu fan individually with my fingers but the noise still persisted. My motherboard is a Biostar M7NCD PRO. I recently dropped a MSI 9800 PRO to my system and that's about the time when I start to notice this noise. Before that I was using a PNY ti4200. My powersupply is an Antec Smart Power SL350. It's strange cause it doesn't seem to be some type of noise coming from my fans. Anyone got an idea?

After I restarted my computer, the noise is still there. It is on going and goes on and off as the lan port light goes on and off. During the start up I couldn't hear the noise as it is covered by the cd-rom and hard drives spinning up. If I unplug the ethernet cable from the lan port, the whine is gone, but I can't use the internet anymore.

RAM could emit noise, too?

Have you tried resetting the internet? Yes, some memory makes noise as they have on-board chips that emit ..noise.

a lot of the hardwares now emit a electrical hum. It's the fact that frequncies which the hardwares operate are audible by the human ear. This is espically true in laptops where its close proximity makes the noises very easy to hear. As the speed increase further, you will eventually hear it much loader and clearer.
