Merry Christmas All,

Just got a Studio TV Terminator card for christmas, and ive been having a bit of trouble with it.

First the most noticable thing is when i open the Video source in any program my CASE, yes CASE not speakers makes a strange rattling noise, kinda like a vibration type noise, i looked for anything loose in my case dont see anything, and that wouldnt make sense anyway considering i only get this noise when the card is on.

Second i'm having a bit of trouble with the drivers, It recognized and installed itself as a Philips TV7131 WDM Video Capture Card, which i guess it is? Driver version 9.4.0.2 9/23/2004. Now the tuner works but the remote that came with it does not function at all (yes i put the batteries in ;) ). Also there is another device in my device manager showing as an unknown device and if i click update driver on it, it tells me it recognizes it as "Media", and then scans and tells me it is a "LifeView WDM TV Tuner" and that i need lvtuner.sys from the LifeView TV CD, which i obviously dont have. So why is it recognizing as 2 seperate Tuners and why doesnt the remote work? /me confused.

On a side note i got another 160GB Samsung SATA-150 HD (i had one already), and my old one had been totally silent while this one i can hear a high pitched sound every 1/2 a sec or so, really quiet but is it something i should be concerned about? Dont want my HD dying on me.

Well thats my holiday hardware troubles :)

Reinstalled the drivers as "LifeView FlyTV Prime 33", then it changed the "Media" thing to "LifeView WDM TV Tuner", no more unknowns, and it works fine in the LifeView TVR Program, but why is this? is windows just recognizing my card incorectly or is it actually a LifeView? Kworld's site has the Philips drivers on it.

And with either remote does not function.

Also with the LifeView drivers i still get the rattling sound when the card is active.
