I have two computer setup at home, going through a Linksys router to my cable modem. Running Windows XP on both. However the problem was exactly the same when we had Windows98 on them. One computer is fine, works all the time. The other computer will randomly quit connecting to the outside world. I can still see the other computer in the network, and I can still even PING from a Dos prompt to other computer on the internet, I can even ping my mail server at @home. BUT when I open a web browser, or Outlook express, they don't connect! How can I ping a server and get a response, but the browser can't connect to it? I have tried browsing directly to the IP, thinking maybe a DNS thing, but it doesn't matter. All that works is a hard reboot. Then all is fine for a while.
Anyone seen this before?
Thanks
