I finally unlocked my T-bird 1.1Ghz and tried to fiddle with my multipliers. I'm using an MSI K7T Turbo mobo which has a jumper which determines what speed fsb (on = 100 Mhz, off = 133Mhz). Also using one stick of 512Meg PC-150 Ram. I lowered my multiplier to X6 at 100Mhz fsb and got 600 Mhz...great...tried X6.5...got 650Mhz....then I put it to X7 and I got 1100Mhz?? then I put it to X8 and got 1200Mhz??!!! This is with fsb at 100Mhz!

I then took jumper off and tried X6..booted up at appropriate Mhz (6 * 133)...X6.5....good to go...X7...locks up at POST. I know the reason for this so no biggie.

Have any of you run into this?? Does this mean that I didn't completely 'unlock' the chip??? Or is it the PC-150??? Please help!

I gather you umlocked using a pencil, rub it clean and try again. i had the same problem, you might have to try a few times to get it right.

Might be the particular board you got too. I had trouble with mine, and never resolved it. It went into a stock speed system I built.
