OK. I just changed cases. Installed everything correctly, booted up and... at the POST I get and 'Error 40' something about floppy disk(s). It won't let me past. I can boot into Windows by forcing the BIOS to ignore diskette errors, and when I get to Windows the floppy drive works fine.
I also build a second machine, and I get the same error when no floppy drive in installed. (I can disable diskette errors as well).
The problem seems to be that the BIOS is not seeing the floppy drive. It is not mobo specific, so it shouldn't matter (but it is Soyo Dragon+ if you wanna know).
Doesn't matter loads, I can use the computer fine, just wondering what is casuing it.
