so I picked up this weird board
as a junk/giveaway at a recent con and it's weird because it's AT yet contains elements that you don't expect to see on an AT board:
slot 1 cpu
sdram
agp slot
onboard nic, modem, firewire.
I tried to post it after getting an AT power supply from spare parts at work but nothing happened.
I've been completly unsuccessful in tracking down any info about it on the web using numbers printed on the board. there is a "Compaq" printed near the northbridge so it was obviously made by or for them but I can't get a model name or number.
I'd really like to use it, it would make a great firewall/server because it uses the same ram & cpu type as my current one yet being AT would boot back up right away after a power outage and I get alot of 1-5 sec power outages around here. I know get a UPS right? well they're not 100% reliable and a board that would come back up would still be handy.
check it out, the board has a pci slot ABOVE the agp slot, must be to compensate for the missing on in the middle which is replaced by some strange mini-board
northbridge: Intel AGPset FW82443BX
southbridge: Intel PCIset FW82371EB
other numbers of interest:
sp#388107---1P18A00JA4H02HWAS#--9755-101
along with the 2 6-pin AT plugs there's a 3rd offset AT plug near the sdram slots, printed next to it is 3.3v pwr. I don't know what that 3.3 volts is needed for and I don't have a power supply that can provide it. But not having that might be why I can't get it to post.
