I clicked on a Google search result pointing to a Wikipedia page about a video game and noticed this above the article:
You have a new message (last change).

I clicked it and got this message:
Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Missouri River, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. I wasn't logged in and I can't recall ever reading about the Missouri River there. It's dated 2010, so I would have expected it to expire by now if it were stupidly sent to a previous user of this IP address. I originally clicked "last change" to read the message and there is nothing noting that it was sent to the user of a particular IP address, but when I viewed the message again by clicking "new message" it did have something about being sent to an IP user. That message needs to be there no matter which link I click to view the message. They also need to implement an automatic expiration for IP ranges being used for dynamic IP address pools.

I hope they change this. How many other people will get old messages like this intended for someone else?
