Strange logfile appearing at root of C: drive

I just upgraded my motherboard to an Intel DZ77GA-70K. I have installed all of the appropriate drivers from the Intel support site as well as the same programs that I had with my old CPU/Mobo/RAM combo. One difference I see is that there is a logfile that keeps appearing at the root of my C: drive indicating errors. The logfile is named "IFRToolLog.txt" and all the lines in the file are exactly the same:

CreateFile Failed: LastErr ==> 2

If I delete the file, it is created again after a short while. I am running Windows 7. Google has turned up nothing. How can I figure out what is writing this file and fix the issue?

I don't have an Intel mobo but I did a little searching and I believe the IFRToolLog.txt file is being created by a component of Intel Active Management Technology (AMT): IntelFirmwareRecoveryTool (Although on Intel's site they call it Intel Firmware Recovery Utility) I'm not sure if this helps you, but I think this only relates to remote server hardware management and can probably be uninstalled if not needed.

Just following up for anyone else that may run into this. I uninstalled "Intel (R) Manageability Engine Firmware Recovery Agent" and I no longer see the logfile. Thanks for the help!

Why would you uninstall this as an end to your means? Was this simply coincidence, or did something point you in that direction?
