strange lockup issue

I'm experiencing a lockup issue that I've never seen before. It comes at all times, usually when nothing "strenuous" is going on with the system. I even ran Prime95 for 10 straight hours overnight and the system didn't crash, yet it crashed when reading a message in outlook express. I believe I have all the latest patches to all software.

System: (nothing overclocked, trying to find this issue first)
1.4GHz Athlon
KG-7 Raid
2-40GB Maxtors in Raid
2x256MB Crucial Registered ECC ram
SB Live Value
56k PCI hardware modem
3com 3c905cx enet card
Gainward GF3
Pioneer 16/40 DVD/CDRom
Win2k SP2

Has anyone experienced alot of random lockups on a system that's not overclocked? Basically I'm just wondering if there's something that I missed or some setting that would be causing such things. I even ran the "burn in wizard" in Sandra for a few hours with no problems. Is there some combination with hardware that I missed and shouldn't be using?

I feel like I do more researching on this system than I do gaming on it (what it was built for).

Could this issue be the SB Live card? I have never crashed while gaming, only during normal windows use. The sound isn't even being used at this time.
