I found a limited account on xp home. The install was fresh - most stuff not installed yet. I forget the name of the account as I deleted it before thinking. Is there any virus or anything that can do this? Or did my wife likely do it by accident while setting up photoshop (she has been taking lessons and is modifying many settings)?

Was the user account something like ASP.net? Or HelpAssitant?

If so those are created at some point by a piece of microsoft software. ie, ASP.net is for the .net framework which can be installed via Windows Update.. theres also another .NET account created when installing .NET from windows update.

No harm done by those.

If the limited account was named "ASP.NET Machine A...", it was installed as part of Microsoft's .net framework. (The icon for the limited account resembles a snowflake.)

The account is used to update the .net framework.
